Facial Rejuvenation
Facial aesthetics treatments are used to enhance natural beauty and rejuvenate your skin to give you an overall more youthful and radiant appearance.

What are wrinkle-relaxing injections?

It is a non-surgical approach to reduce the signs of aging on the face by softening the expression lines.
Natural proteins are used to temporarily reduce muscle activity to soften the deep lines caused by facial expressions.

Why would I consider wrinkle-relaxing injections?

After years of frequent muscle movement, environmental and lifestyle factors, lines and wrinkles on our skin become a lot more apparent. Anti-wrinkle injections are used to prevent muscle contraction therefore resulting in a reduction in creasing the overlying skin, which gives you the appearance of beautifully smooth skin.

Facial lines such as crows feet (laughter lines) and glabellar lines (frown lines) tend to appear in your early thirties and deepen with time. Especially for those of us that are quite expressive- these may develop sooner and unfortunately for sun worshippers this happens much earlier.
Our aim:

All treatment plans are individualised to each patient but for all our patients we aim for a smoother and fresher appearance. Your facial expressions will become more relaxed but by no means frozen. The overall result is very natural.
When do you see the results?

Initial effect are seen after 3 - 5 days and full effects can be seen after 14 days.
How long does it last?

The results last 3 - 4months – this is dependent on an individual’s metabolism, muscle activity and lifestyle choices. Re-treatment is then required and for an optimum effect, treatment is recommended 3 - 4 times a year.
How long does the procedure take?

Approximately 15 minutes
Does it hurt?

We use tiny ‘insulin’ needles that diabetics use daily so the treatment is virtually pain-free with minimal down-time. Most patients can go ahead with their daily routines immediately after.
What areas can you treat:

-
Frown lines - between the eyebrows from overactive muscles - these muscles are used when concentrating and when feeling anger, confusion and anxiety. When it is repeated often enough the skin creases develop even when relaxed.
-
Crows feet - wrinkles radiating from the corner of your eyes caused by smiling, squinting, laughing.
-
Forehead lines* - when you raise your eyebrows and get the horizontal forehead lines.
* Please note: We do not advise treating the forehead lines alone as this risks dropping of the eyebrows therefore we advise treating in between the eyebrows and possibly the corners of eyes alongside the forehead to provide an overall fresher appearance.
What about after?

We go through all the do’s and don'ts about how to ensure best results with specific post treatment instructions after your procedure.

Dermal Fillers
“ Lips are the most expressive feature on a woman’s face” – Christian Louboiton.
Dermal fillers provide a fast and effective method of rejuvenating the skin. It is a gel- like substance containing hyaluronic acid (nature's moisturiser). The hyaluronic acid is carefully injected into the area under the skin in a controlled technique so there is full control into how much volume we are adding depending on an individual desires. It works to restore the firmness and smoothness associated with youth.

The acid is also present in skin and is responsible for:

-
Retaining moisture therefore you get hydrated skin
-
Keeping the skin plump
-
Dermal fillers also stimulate collagen production over several weeks so they strengthen the skin
Which areas can you treat?

-
Lips - common area - enhancing the definition and returning lost volume giving plump, smooth lips!
-
Nose to mouth lines
The hyaluronic acid is carefully injected into the area under the skin in a controlled technique so there is full control into how much volume we are adding depending on an individual desires. It works to restore the firmness and smoothness associated with youth.
Does it hurt?

Pre-treatment numbing cream is used and we use filler that contains lidocaine (anaesthetic) within the filler to improve comfort during the procedure.
When do you see the results?

Immediately - but the swelling can be present for up to a week (immediate application of ice can reduce this). We can also expect some bruising after the procedure so we say best results and your lips start to feel ‘natural’ at 2 weeks.
How long will they last?

The effects typically last 6 - 9 months but the duration differs from person to person and depending in which area is treated.
